For now, companies subject to new hazard communication requirements under the EU’s revised Classification, Labeling and Packaging (CLP) Regulation can prepare by referring to existing guidance for identifying endocrine disruptors in biocidal or plant protection products, EU authorities say.
EU To Provide Guidance On New Endocrine Disruptor, Persistent Chemicals Hazard Classes In 2024
Industry should use existing guidance for the identification of endocrine disruptors until the European Chemicals Agency updates Guidance on the Application of the CLP Criteria, targeted for mid-2024. Transition periods will begin elapsing in May 2025 when new substances on the market must be compliant with the new hazard communication requirements, followed by new mixtures in May 2026.
