TEN COSMETIC/OTC RECALLS AND ONE SEIZURE REPORTED BY FDA IN FY 1993 (ended Sept. 30) in its weekly Enforcement Reports, up from six recalls and no seizures in fiscal 1992 and five in 1991. Of the 10 recalls, seven were due to contamination. One recall was both Class I (involving potentially serious or life-threatening consequences) and Class II (temporary or medically reversible ill effects possible), five were Class II, and four were Class III (no adverse health effects likely).
