HAWAII GLASS RECYCLING BILL WOULD IMPOSE ADVANCE DISPOSAL FEE on importers of glass containers into the state. The fee of 1.5" per container would be levied from Sept. 1, 1994 to Sept. 1, 1996. After that date, the fee would be established as needed by the state legislature. The payment would go to the Department of Health to promote glass recycling.
