Executive Summary
A 6928 passes the Assembly March 31 with a vote of 138 to nine. The measure currently is awaiting action in the Senate Health Committee. A 6928 would prohibit use of animal eye or skin irritancy testing for cosmetics and bar sale of cosmetics tested in animals after Jan. 1 1995. After Jan. 1, 1997, the measure also would ban testing of cosmetic ingredients in animals
