Executive Summary
FDA amends the OTC anorectal and skin protectant monographs to change the name of "Hamamelis water" to "witch hazel." In two separate final rules published in the June 3 Federal Register, FDA says it decided to switch to the name witch hazel to be consistent with changes made in the U.S. Pharmacopeia official compendium. The rule is effective Jan. 1, 1995. FDA will accept written comments on the change until Aug. 17
