Executive Summary
FDA $44 MIL. FY 1995 APPROPRIATIONS INCREASE approved by the House Appropriations Committee on June 9 comes with a warning to the Clinton Administration about inflating proposals for user fees collections in future budges. In the report accompanying the bill, the committee noted that administration proposed to collect $252 mil. in "new user fees from regulated industries." However, the committee declared, in testimony before the committee on the proposal, Administration representatives from HHS and FDA could not "provide any information as to which regulated industries would pay user fees."
