Executive Summary

New York State Court of Appeals enjoins the New York DEC June 14 from implementing a rule that would ban the sale of insect repellents containing more than 30% DEET until the court can rule on an appeal by CSMA. The group is seeking a reversal of a May 5 ruling by the new York Supreme Court-Appeals Division that gave DEC the go ahead to implement the rule ("The Rose Sheet" May 9, p. 8). CSMA says it expects a ruling on its appeal by the end of the year
