This article was originally published in The Rose Sheet

Executive Summary

LA PRAIRIE AGE MANAGEMENT INTENSIVES WITH 10-15% AHAs are intended for use on skin that has been "acclimated" to an alpha hydroxy acid program "for a minimum of 90 days," according to La Prairie. The three Intensives products, which are launching in 250 U.S. department stores in October, offer at least twice the amount of alpha hydroxy acids available in currently marketed products in La Prairie's Age Management Series. AHA percentages in the original Age Management line range from 5% lactic acid in Age Management Serum ("The Rose Sheet" June 1, 1992, Marketing in Brief) to 7.5% lactic acid in Age Management Hand Cream SPF 15 ("The Rose Sheet" May 23, Marketing in Brief). The Intensives products contain a multiple fruit acid complex comprising lactic acid, citric acid derived from grapefruit and malic acid from apples.
