Executive Summary
Gillette: Exec VP-International Group Michael Hawley, 57, is next in line for the firm's top spot with his promotion to president and chief operating officer, effective April 20. Alfred Zeien, 64, will continue as chairman and CEO "beyond his normal retirement date," the firm says. Hawley will be succeeded by Group VP-Latin America, International Group Robert King, whose replacement has not yet been named. Also effective April 20, Joel Davis, currently president of Gillette's Stationery Products Group, will assume the newly created post of corporate senior VP-Corporate Planning and Development. Senior VP-North Atlantic Group Robert Hanafee will take over Davis' vacated spot; Hanafee's successor has not been named.
