Executive Summary
CIR POSTPONES REVIEW OF DIOCTYL SODIUM SULFOSUCCINATE SENSITIZATION STUDY in order to resolve questions regarding the design and results of the study and to review the panel's previous discussions regarding the surfactant agent. At its May 22 meeting, the Cosmetic Ingredient Review Expert Panel voted 4-1 with one abstention to "table" the review of the study until the panel's Aug. 28-29 meeting. The ingredient is primarily used in body care preparations, hair bleaches and bath oils, tablets and salts.
