PATENT AND TRADEMARK FILING FEES TO INCREASE IN OCTOBER, the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office announced in a notice of proposed rule-making published in the May 26 Federal Register. The Patent & Trademark Office will adjust statutory patent fees on Oct. 1 to reflect a projected 3.2% increase in the urban Consumer Price Index as calculated by the Office of Management & Budget. OMB based its U-CPI increase on projections from September 1994 to September 1995.
