Executive Summary
XERYUS ROUGE TO HEAT UP GIVENCHY MEN'S PORTFOLIO with "hot and sensual" elements not currently found in other Givenchy fragrances, according to Parfums Givenchy. Bowing Sept. 1 in 2,500 doors in France, Belgium and Switzerland, the newest brand extension will be introduced in the U.S. some time next year ("The Rose Sheet" June 19, Marketing In Brief). Unlike Xeryus, a "floral woody semi-oriental" fragrance introduced in 1986, Xeryus Rouge is described as a "fresh oriental" that is "full of energy."
