Executive Summary
FTC ENVIRONMENTAL MARKETING GUIDES SHOULD ALLOW "NO CFCs" CLAIMS, CTFA asserted in Sept. 29 comments to the Federal Trade Commission. Responding to an FTC notice in the July 31 Federal Register requesting comments on consumer's perception of environmental marketing claims such as "ozone friendly" and "no chlorofluorocarbons," CTFA maintained that "because aerosol personal care products do not contain CFCs, they should be able to continue to make the truthful claims `No CFCs' and `No Chlorofluorocarbons.'"
