Canadian cosmetics labeling reg: Canada's Health Protection branch requires warning labeling and child resistant packaging for cosmetic products containing "amounts equal to or greater than" 5 ml methyl alcohol; 500 mg acetonitrile; 50 mg potassium bromate in liquid formulation; or 600 mg sodium bromate in liquid formulation. According to the Canadian Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association, Schedule #878, which amends Canada's Cosmetic Regulations, will not have a material impact on industry since most cosmetic formulations including those ingredients contain amounts below the minimum level cited.
