Executive Summary
Color additive certification fees: FDA's proposed increase in color additive certification fees published in an interim rule in the Nov. 29, 1994 Federal Register has been finalized, according to a Feb. 1 notice in the Federal Register. The fee for certification services for straight colors including lakes is 30 [cents] per pound (a 5 [cents] per pound increase) with a minimum fee of $192. Fee adjustments proposed in the interim rule for "repacks" of color additives and color additive mixtures also are adopted into regulation. FDA is not implementing a provision put forth in the interim rule which would have adjusted fees at a rate proportional to federal salary increases after reviewing comments from the International Association of Color Manufacturers (IACM)...
