Executive Summary
PARLUX SALES NEARLY DOUBLE TO $23.8 MIL. IN FY 1996 THIRD QUARTER (ended Dec. 31) from $12.4 mil. in the year-before period, largely due to sales of the firm's 360 Perry Ellis scents, the Pompano, FL-based company said. The fragrance accounted for approximately 35% or $8 mil. of total sales for the quarter, according to the firm. Parlux acquired the Perry Ellis brands from Sanofi Beaute in November 1994 ("The Rose Sheet" Nov. 14, 1994, p. 6). Net earnings for the quarter rocketed 143.6% to $3 mil. from $1.2 mil. in the previous year's third quarter.
