FRENCH FRAGRANCES ACQUIRING HALSTON FRAGRANCE BRANDS from Halston Borghese, Miami, FL-based French Fragrances announced Feb. 12. The deal, which is slated to close in the next few weeks following Hart-Scott-Rodino clearance, adds four Halston scents to French Fragrances' stable -- Halston, which debuted in 1975, Halston Z-14 (1976), Halston 1-12 (1976) and Catalyst for Men (1994). French Fragrances is buying all existing inventory of the four lines as well as equipment such as bottle molds.
