CTFA CONSIDERING VOLUNTARY REPORTING PROGRAM REPLACEMENTS in the event that FDA decides to modify or eliminate the part of the Voluntary Cosmetic Reporting Program that records industry reports of adverse reactions to cosmetic products, Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association President Ed Kavanaugh told attendees at the CTFA annual meeting in Boca Raton, FL Feb. 29-March 3. "It is important that our self-regulatory philosophy continue to be backed up with programs that enable FDA and the industry to ensure the safety of our products and give our industry credibility," Kavanaugh said.
