AdiPar: Appoints Carolyn Zonino marketing director for the Burberrys fragrance brands, effective immediately. AdiPar, the U.S. distribution subsidiary of Escada Beaute, licensed distribution rights for the Burberrys fragrances in the U.S. from Jean Philippe's French subsidiary Inter Parfums in late June. Reporting to AdiPar General Manager Sharon Connolly, Zonino is responsible for planning the media and promotional campaigns for the spring 1997 U.S. launch of Burberrys two new scents -- Burberrys for Men and Burberrys for Women. The men's and women's fragrances bowed in France in 1995 followed by global rollout; the scents are available in 40 countries. According to AdiPar, the U.S. launch of the new fragrances "is crucial as it completes the worldwide coverage of the brand and influences the whole of the American continent," AdiPar said. Jean Philippe acquired the rights to the Burberrys scent in 1993.
