MICROFINE PIGMENTS OFFER OPPORTUNITY FOR ETHNIC COSMETICS FORMULATORS that would like to develop smoother, less cakey color cosmetics for consumers with dark skin tones, Jane Hollenberg of JCH Consulting suggested at the Society of Cosmetic Chemists' Southern chapters meeting on "The Future of Color" in Williamsburg, Va. Oct. 10-11. "Microfine pigments are much more intense and appear virtually invisible on the skin," she said, adding that they also even skin tones and improve appearance.
