FDA "WELL ALONG" IN PREPARING VCPE SUMMARY REPORT, FDA Office of Cosmetics and Colors Director John Bailey, PhD, said at the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association's 1996 scientific conference held Nov. 3-5 in Atlanta, Ga. The agency is considering comments received in response to its June 12 Federal Register proposal to eliminate the Voluntary Cosmetic Product Experience reporting program, and is "well along in preparing [its] reports summarizing the data submitted to the VCPE over the last 20 years or so," Bailey said. The VCPE report should be ready for public release "early next year," he forecast.
