Rep. Klug: Will not run for re-election in 1998. Congressman Scott Klug (R-Wis.) announced Feb. 23. In last year's congressional session, Klug sponsored the foods portion of the three-pronged House FDA reform package. The legislation included national uniformity language and a provision to reform the Delaney clause. The bill died in the Commerce Committee while committee members negotiated over the Delaney clause in the context of other food safety legislation.
