Executive Summary

The company plans to convert about 200 Estee Lauder and Clinique counters to this format during the next 15 to 18 months, based on the outstanding success of test markets, Estee Lauder told analysts. Assisted-sell counters are up and running in Estee Lauder free-standing stores in Las Vegas and the Pittsburgh airport, as well as the Estee Lauder counter in the Orlando, Fla. Saks Fifth Avenue and Eaton's in Toronto. The company has tested the concept in various Clinique counters across the country.
