FIVE STAR FRAGRANCE TAKING ROYAL COPENHAGEN GLOBAL following the completion of a two-part deal announced Oct. 8 under which Five Star Fragrance Company assumes North American rights to the Royal Copenhagen fragrance brand from Tsumura International. The company will also assume international licensing rights from the Copenhagen, Denmark-based porcelain designer. Five Star intends to expand the 27-year-old fragrance brand's reach overseas, the Bohemia, N.Y.-based distributor said. The collection, which includes Royal Copenhagen Classic (1970), Royal Copenhagen Musk (1976) and Royal Copenhagen Sport (1996), is available in 3,500 department store doors, including Macy's, Burdines and J.C. Penney, in the U.S. and Canada.
