Executive Summary
CALIFORNIA LOW VAPOR PRESSURE VOC SURVEY POSTPONED, allowing industry instead to compile LVP information for ingredients of interest to the California Air Resources Board. At a May 5 workshop with industry in Sacramento, Calif., CARB announced its intention to conduct a survey on the use of LVP ingredients in consumer products but agreed to postpone the questionnaire following a meeting with the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association and the Chemical Specialties Manufacturers Association. Instead, the board will present CTFA and CSMA with a list of low vapor pressure mixtures on which CARB requires additional information, CARB Stationary Source Division Chief Peter Venturini said.
