Executive Summary
FDA to hold a public meeting to "solicit input on program priorities and establish work product expectations" as part of a "comprehensive review" of the Center for Food Safety & Applied Nutrition operations, a June 3 Federal Register notice states. In CFSAN's regulatory program, priorities are assigned as follows: regulations that enhance consumer safety; regs mandated by statute; health-related product labeling requirements; and regs to improve operating efficiency. The agency asks commenters to list their top research priorities for CFSAN and consider whether there are consumer safety issues not being addressed by the center.
