CFSAN RESOURCES FOR EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES TRAINING NEEDED, ICMAD VP and Legislative Chair Winnie Baden said at a priority- setting meeting for FDA's Center for Food Safety & Applied Nutrition in Washington, D.C. June 24. CFSAN personnel need to become familiar with new technologies, including those for cosmetics, skin and hair care products, to prepare for the greater influx of products from the European Union and other foreign countries, the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers & Distributors representative suggested. "Immediate funding is required in order to insure an ongoing, credible scientific research program that is adequately staffed with scientific expertise."
