Executive Summary
SEBASTIAN CUTS OFF $1 MIL. IN DIVERTED HAIR CARE GOODS thus far in 1998, thanks in part to new labeling technology using three-dimensional, holographic images, the Woodland Hills, Calif.-based salon products company said. Numbered sequentially with visible digits and a bar code, the labels allow the company to follow products along lines of the distribution after salons scan items upon arrival. The first products carrying the holographic labels aimed at deterring the diversion of Sebastian brand hair care products shipped in June 1997.
