FDA commissioner-nominee Jane Henney, MD, tentatively scheduled to testify before the Senate Labor & Human Resources Committee Sept. 2. Committee Chairman James Jeffords (R-Vt.) had announced plans to hold the hearing Sept. 1 pending Henney's response to 140 questions posed to the candidate ("The Rose Sheet" Aug. 10, p. 1). In her Aug. 24 response, Henney discussed priorities for modernization of scientific standards, including color additives.
