Executive Summary
Janice Teal, PhD to group VP-R&D, starting Jan. 1. Teal succeeds Neil Scancarella, group VP and chief scientific officer, who is retiring after 30 years at Avon. Teal has served as VP-Avon Skin Care Labs since 1995 and also headed R&D for the company's global skin care lines. During her tenure, Avon launched Anew Retinol Recovery Complex and Anew Night Force Vertical Lifting Complex. Teal joined Avon in 1982, holding management positions in toxicology, product and package safety and package development. She is a member of several related professional associations, such as the scientific advisory boards at the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association and Johns Hopkins Center for Alternatives to Animal Research
