Executive Summary

No Ad No Bug Sunblock Lotion protects the wearer from insects as well as UV rays. The Miami-based firm's first sunscreen/bug repellant, No Bug contains 10% DEET (n, n-diethyl-m-toluamide) in waterproof SPF 15 and SPF 30 formulas. The PABA-free lotions provide UV coverage with homosalate (10%), octyl methoxycinnamate (7.5%), octyl salicylate (5%) and benzophenone-3 (4%). Targeted to young, active consumers, the products are housed in yellow bottles with color-coded green or red accents. Available in March, an 8 oz. bottle will cost $9.99, while a 3 oz. tube will retail for $4.99. No Ad Sunless Tanning Spray Gel in an 8 oz. bottle for $4.99 also debuts in March. Solar Cosmetics plans to introduce a zinc oxide line in 1999 and is reformulating existing products with zinc oxide on an ongoing basis
