Executive Summary
Reviewing several cosmetics ingredients for potential of the chemicals to be carcinogenic under Proposition 65. Allyl isovalerate is listed on the California Environmental Protection Agency's "high" carcinogenicity concern list, released Feb. 19. Use of the ingredient in various cosmetics, foods and household products is not known, and allyl isovalerate is not listed in the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association's International Ingredient Dictionary. C.I. acid red 51 and acid blue 9 and its salts made CalEPA's "not high" carcinogenicity concern list. CalEPA will hold a workshop to review public comments and peer review data on April 9. Written comments are due by April 20
