Colgate-Palmolive plans to implement several labeling changes to sample size (.75 oz) tubes of Colgate Total toothpaste, firm says after receiving FDA approval of its supplemental NDA (20-231/S-022) on Dec. 10. Company will alter claim "12 hour fresh breath protection" to read "Long-lasting fresh breath protection." Firm also will change "Fights tartar" to read "Fights tartar buildup" and will add the term "gel" to product labeling, since toothpaste contains ratio of 80% blue gel to 20% white paste, according to FDA's approval letter.
