Procter & Gamble exec Douglas Bierer, PhD, will succeed 18-year Consumer Healthcare Products Association veteran William Soller, PhD, in leading the group's regulatory and scientific affairs department effective May 5. In his position as VP-regulatory & scientific affairs, Bierer will take a leading role in helping CHPA "demonstrate to regulatory bodies the public health benefits of broad consumer access" to OTC products, the association says. Bierer brings over 20 years of experience in the OTC drug area, having served in various roles at P&G since 1979.
