Cetaphil: Therapeutic Hand Cream showed a "statistically significant improvement" in skin hydration as well as hand desquamation and dermatitis versus Beiersdorf's Eucerin Cream in four-week, double blind study of 24 subjects, Galderma announces at American Academy of Dermatology annual meeting Feb. 6-11 in Washington, D.C. Both products were tested in combination with .05% fluocinonide cream, company notes. Debuting in six to eight weeks, Cetaphil Therapeutic Hand Cream is formulated to "treat dry, chapped skin" in problem areas, firm says. Cream contains shea butter to "enhance occlusiveness," and dimethicone and glycerin to moisturize, firm notes. Packaged in set of 3 oz. tubes, product will be available through doctors' offices...
