Executive Summary
California Air Resources Board approves amendments to existing fee regulations for volatile organic compound emissions from consumer products and architectural coatings during Nov. 18 board meeting in Sacramento, Calif. Proposal allows CARB to recover supplemental fees of $2.6 mil. from facilities in years when the agency is authorized to exceed the $17.4 mil. limit, which was established in fiscal 2003-2004. Supplemental fees are expected to be approximately $23 per ton, based on current data. Remaining $17.4 mil. will be assessed as specified by existing regulations.
