Executive Summary
Airline passengers in the European Union are restricted to carrying limited amounts of liquids, gels and aerosols on-board after the European Commission implements new travel regulations Nov. 6. The rules mirror those adopted by U.S. authorities in late September (1"The Rose Sheet" Oct. 2, 2006, In Brief). According to the EU regs, passengers may carry individual containers holding up to 100 ml (3.4 oz.) of liquid; all containers must fit into one clear, liter-sized re-sealable plastic bag. Exemptions will be made for medicines and liquid dietary products and for items purchased in the secure pre-boarding area.
