Calvin Klein has joined forces with men's magazine GQ to promote the brand's latest scent, Calvin Klein MAN. Representatives from the Coty brand and the magazine will choose five men who "best epitomize the Calvin Klein MAN: sexy, stylish, sophisticated, socially aware and smart." Winners of the search will appear in a 2008 issue of GQ heralding the "Year of the MAN." Consumers can apply for the search through Nov. 30 by submitting a photo and filling out a form on 1www.gqconnects.com. Men also can enter during in-store events at department stores where they will have their picture taken by a professional photographer. The new scent, Calvin Klein MAN, is a "crisp spicy wood [fragrance], defined by its distinctly masculine aura and fine ingredients," Coty says.
