Fragrance Materials Association: National trade group names Jennifer Abril its new executive director. Abril formerly served the Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturers Association as director of its ChemStewards program, which provides guidance to batch, custom and specialty chemical companies to help ensure their compliance with federal laws and regulations while streamlining operations for an improved bottom line, according to SOCMA's Web site. As director of international affairs for the American Chemistry Council, Abril worked to promote global regulatory harmonization, FMA says. "At such an exciting and progressive time for [the fragrance] industry," Abril says, "I look forward to working with stakeholders in related U.S. associations and national and global bodies to further our collective interests."
