Executive Summary
Clothing designer Marc Jacobs will be given the Hall of Fame Award by the Fragrance Foundation at its FiFi Awards in May, the organization says March 27. Jacobs is being honored for his "playful yet sophisticated" approach to fashion and fragrance, epitomized by his Daisy Marc Jacobs scent, which won Fragrance of the Year at the group's 2008 awards. Marc Jacobs for Women was the first stone in his fragrance house, followed by an eponymous scent for men. "Marc's contribution to the fragrance industry started with his very first signature fragrance and now encompasses many different and delicious aromas all imbued with his personality and flair. He has built a fragrance brand with a broad appeal and brought along with him a whole new generation of loyal fragrance lovers for the ride," says Fragrance Foundation President Rochelle Bloom
