Executive Summary
International Fragrance Association's 45 amendment to its Code of Practice contains seven changes: new standards for dimethylcyclohex-3-ene-1-carbaldehyde (mixed isomers), alpha-methyl-1,2-benzodioxole-5-propionaldehyde (MMDHCA) and 3-phenylbutanal; one revised standard for verbena absolute (Lippia citriodora Kunth.); one revised standard for 2,2-dimethyl-3-(3-tolyl)propan-1-ol (majantol); one new specification standard for musk ketone; and one new prohibition on quinoline, an aromatic organic compound. As expected, the amendment was "light" compared with previous years, as organization's changeover to dermal sensitization Quantitative Risk Assessment approach has been completed (1"The Rose Sheet" June 7, 2010, In Brief)
