Executive Summary
Traditional skin care marketers are attempting to compete with dermatologist-developed skin care brands such as Dr. Perricone and Dr. Brandt by offering products with therapeutic, high-end positioning, market research firm Kline & Co. concludes in skin care study to be published this fall. Products pursuing that approach include Avon Clinical and P&G's Olay Regenerist, which are touted as advanced anti-aging offerings. Prestige marketers such as Estee Lauder also are offering more clinically-positioned skin care treatments.
