Executive Summary
National Toxicology Program Interagency Center for the Evaluation of Alternative Toxicological Methods issues second request for data on chemicals evaluated in in vitro or in vivo ocular irritancy test methods in Feb. 28 1Federal Register notice. Agency is preparing final background documents on four in vitro test methods for assessing ocular irritation in collaboration with Interagency Coordinating Committee on the Validation of Alternative Methods and the European Center for the Validation of Alternative Methods. Data will be used to develop a list of substances with high quality in vivo data that can be considered as reference chemicals for future validation studies.
