Executive Summary
Spanish firm BioIberica will supply chondroitin sulfate for the NIH-funded study on osteoarthritis, an NIH steering committee decides Sept. 28. Pfanstiehl Labs is providing the glucosamine. The trial, co-sponsored by NCCAM and NIAMS, was slated to start several months ago but was stalled due to difficulty in choosing supplement suppliers (1"The Tan Sheet" Sept. 4, p. 4).
