Executive Summary
Susan Winckler, FDA chief of staff since January 2007, resigns, giving Commissioner Peggy Hamburg and the Obama administration further room to shape the agency. Winckler joined FDA as director for policy communications in September 2006, after serving as VP of policy and communications and staff counsel for the American Pharmacists Association.
